A Yoga Adventure Cruise to Bali, Komodo & Flores, Indonesia
I've teamed up with the amazing and inspiring international yoga teacher, Lindsay Gonzalez, to lead you on a journey of discovery through yoga, meditation, and mindfulness practices, for 8-days/7-nights in one of our favorite places on Earth - Indonesia. Cruising from Bali to Komodo National Park and Flores, we will breathe, balance and bliss out on our beautiful ‘pinisi’ schooner, with twice daily yoga classes, delicious meals, like-minded companions, incredible nature, and abundant wildlife.
Each day, we will practice yoga either on the ship's deck, a pristine beach, scenic hilltop, volcanic lake, or on a stand up paddle board. As we breathe in the fresh sea air and relish a stunning new view every day, our morning sessions will energize you for the adventures ahead, and our evening sessions will help you relax and unwind after exhilarating days on land and sea. If you feel like a refreshing dip after yoga practice, dive directly from your mat into the crystal-clear sea. There’s ample time for our other activities including snorkeling, kayaking, paddle boarding, hiking, nature and village walks, wildlife viewing, and singing, chanting and dancing around a bonfire on the beach.
This all-levels yoga and travel experience is ideal for anyone who wants to step out of the yoga studio and into a spectacular natural environment, surrounded by the enchanting turquoise waters of Komodo National Park. Our 8-day/7-night yoga adventure is a perfect opportunity to expand your existing practice, or, if you are new to yoga, to immerse yourself in the practice. We have designed the itinerary to balance activity, play and exploring with down time and lounging on the ship's deck.
In Komodo National Park's savannah-like setting of dry, rugged landscape, we will encounter Komodo dragons, at a safe distance of course. These awe-inspiring, giant lizards are Indonesia's living dinosaurs. We may also spot deer, wild boar, sulphur-crested cockatoos, butterflies, rare orchids, and jungle chickens among the strangle-fig trees and the distinctive lontar palms. With over 1,000 species of fish and other sea life amongst the pristine coral reefs, Komodo National Park is one of the best snorkeling and diving locations in the world.
The Ombak Putih, our beautiful floating home for seven days is an atmosphere of pure enjoyment, with fabulous food, top class service, and great company ideal for our awe-inspiring adventure. Lindsay is an international yoga teacher (ERYT- 500) in search of adventures on and off the mat. She is known for her keen understanding of breath work practices, body alignment, sense of humor, and ability to empower her students to live fully. With over a decade of experience, she leads 200- and 300-hour teacher trainings, workshops, and retreats throughout the world. Lindsay is passionate about teaching yoga alignment, travel, stand up paddle boarding, and SUP yoga.
Melody is a 200-hr. certified Hatha yoga teacher, retreat host, travel blogger, singer, and world traveler. While living in India, her casual yoga practice became a passion that inspired her to become a yoga teacher. Her classes range from gentle yoga and vinyasa to bhakti yoga, a heart-opening practice weaving storytelling with mantras, music and asana. She sings in the band, Oneness, and leads kirtan, an ancient form of call and response mantra chanting based in the bhakti (devotion) tradition of India.
